Boarding

We know that boarding is never the same as home, but we want to make every pet feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for.

Accommodations

Care includes two healthy meals a day, fresh water at all times, a clean and sanitized throw for bedding comfort, and an abundance of pets and hugs. We can feed any (owner-provided) special diet your pet may require and administer any medications. Your pet will receive multiple daily walks and one-on-one attention from our caring team members.

Ruffit Studio

$46/night

Intimate, cozy, crate-sized accommodations perfect for dogs that prefer privacy and security and smaller dogs (<50 lbs). Studios minimize empty space that can cause anxiety and are ideal for dogs that prefer their own nesting spaces.

Ruffit Loft

$58/night

Larger and roomier, run-sized accommodations designed for our more social and active dogs, and larger dogs (>50 lbs). Lofts are perfect for dogs with personalities that need less privacy to feel comfortable and aren’t stressed when left in bigger spaces.

Boarding Requirements

For the health and protection of your pet and all pets in our facility, we require that dogs and cats be properly immunized and free of fleas, ticks and intestinal parasites before being admitted for boarding. If your pet is not current, we will be happy to update the necessary requirements at our regular rates; otherwise, your pet may be required to be held in isolation.

It is best if your pet does not change food while you are away. Their food and medications is all you need to bring.

  • Please bring food pre-bagged for each day for each dog.
  • Please bring medicine in their original bottle.

We heavily emphasize hygiene and sanitation and require that all items left with pets be laundered daily, including bedding. We provide our guests with soft, clean, freshly laundered bedding each day.

We recommend leaving personal items at home, like bedding, toys or other personal belongings, fort the following reasons:

  • Items may cause, not reduce, separation anxiety for your pet.
  • These items don’t fare well in our laundry and disinfection process; they often suffer damage.

Please note: Vaccinations must be verified within 4 hours of the time your pet is dropped off for boarding.

Other Important Information

Late Pick-up Fees

If you are unable to pick up your pet during our regular hours, there will be a $20 after-hours pick-up/drop-off fee. If you miss an evening pick-up, we will gladly board your pet until the next day at our regular fee.

Respiratory Infection

Despite sanitation, dogs can spread germs, like infectious cough, without symptoms. Coughing dogs are isolated; however, respiratory infections are possible while boarding.

Water / Food Phenomenon

Pets have constant water access during boarding. Dogs, especially the larger breeds, may rush to their water and food dishes upon returning home out of excitement, not neglect.

Warranty

CityVet offers a free limited warranty for Boarding & Dayplay covering up to $500 for veterinary services if your pet becomes ill or injured during their stay. This warranty applies only to care provided by a CityVet veterinarian during or within 72 hours of your pet’s stay.

It is not insurance and covers only conditions related to the stay.

Weight Loss

Loose stool, diarrhea, and weight loss are common during boarding but are usually easily treatable.
