Our clinic utilizes state of the art equipment for all of your pets needs, both large and small, and includes a 4000 sq foot large animal area, where we perform dentals, surgeries, exams and do yearly exams on cattle, horses, zebras, monkeys and an occasional Kangaroo or Kudu!

A friend referred me to Country Hills.
My dog was seen right away. He saw Dr Estes. The front office staff was very friendly. My wait time was 5 minutes. The vet tech was also friendly and efficient. She gained my dog’s trust immediately which is rare. Very gentle, kind, and patient.
Dr Estes came in and was also very patient. My dog Rilee does not trust strangers because of an abusive situation.
Dr Estes asked a lot of questions and took notes. He approached Rilee with patience and a reassuring demeanor.
He did a thorough exam of Rilee and I mean thorough! He checked everything from top to bottom and front to back. He then reviewed the medications the other vet had prescribed and explained why I should not give them to him and what wouldn’t have helped anyway. He made a diagnosis, clearly explained the problem and the potential cause. He gave him 2 shots and a medication to take home. He is very calm and explains everything clearly and provides instructions for home care. The visit was not rushed and I left there feeling like my dog was in good hands.
By going there we avoided a potentially worse situation both with the diagnoses and review of potentially harmful medications given by the previous vet.
One other note is they did not push expensive products on me. They did have some recommendations which I will pursue st a later date.
Within one day my dog was feeling better and now has recovered. He feels good!
I highly recommend this practice and Dr Estes.

Lead Veterinarian Partner
Dr. Patin practices companion animal and exotic animal medicine and provides medical and surgical care for a wide range of species. He also treats livestock, cattle, horses, and more. Dr. Patin and his wife, Sheli, are advocates for the adoption of shelter pets and rescue animals. The Patins live in the Bulverde area where they share their property with one horse, five dogs, a coop full of chickens, and a whole herd of champion-producing cattle.
